Diesel goes to the dogs

I unashamedly love (almost) everything Diesel does.  I’ve written about them a few times before and cite, yes, cite, them as being one of the reasons I’d like to work in Advertising.  I have a particular love of their Be Stupid campaign and 100 lovers turns me into fanboy jelly to this day.  With my level of diehard obsession there was only really one way they could outdo themselves : dogs.  That’s right, dogs.  The latest campaign, this time for Diesel Eyewear, sees their wares modelled by dogs.

The choice of dogs is incredible and you can tell they’ve thought long and hard about what dogs and sunglasses to use.  I’ve been called out before for unnecessarily anthropomorphising dogs but I can definitely see these animals as the customers they represent.  It’s not the first time we, or at least I, have seen dogs in eyewear ads but it’s not as worn out, or expected, as naked people in glasses a la Tom Ford.

erm, woof?
